Tuesday, Ramadan 9, 1440 AH (May 14, 2019)

In the Name of Allah, The Beneficent, the Merciful

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessing be upon whom Allah sent as a mercy to the Worlds; Prophet Muhammad, upon his Family, his Companions and his Brothers till the Day of Resurrection.

Dear brothers and sisters! Know that the evildoers, wrongdoers, mischief makers and their supporters, and those who kept quite while evil, wrongdoings, and mischief are taking place in the society will all regret their actions.

Allah the Most High says:

“Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of Dawud (David) and Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). That was because they disobeyed (Allah and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond bounds. They used not to forbid one another from the Munkar (wrong, evil-doing, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.) which they committed. Vile indeed was what they used to do.” [Qur’an, 5:78-79]

Once, a group of people were traveling on rocks at night. A voice came from the sky that whosoever picks up the rocks will regret this and whosoever doesn’t pick up the rocks will equally regret this. And, the people were confused. How can this be? Whether you pick up the rocks or not, you will regret it!

Anyway, some people picked up the rocks and some didn’t. In the morning when they reached their homes, they saw that the rocks had turned into diamonds. Then, those people who didn’t pick up the rocks started regretting, saying, “If only we had picked up some rocks.” Those people who picked up some rocks also started regretting, saying, “Why didn’t we pick up more rocks?” Both sides ended up regretting.

Dear Muslims, this same incident will take place with us on the Day of Judgment. Those people who spent their time on evil and useless things will regret when looking at those who achieve a great position in Paradise by spending their time in the way of Allah. Then, those who achieve a position in Paradise will start regretting by looking at those who did more than them and are higher in statuses, saying: “Alas! If we had only done more to please Allah the Almighty.”

Allah the Majestic said:

“And could you but see when the guilty shall hang down their heads before their Lord: Our Lord! We have seen and we have heard, therefore send us back, we will do good; surely (now) we are certain.” [Qur’an, 32:12]

Respected brothers and sisters! Surprisingly, in this very great month of Ramadan, as true believers were occupied with remembrance of their creator, were busy reading the glorious Qur’an, seeking nothing but Allah’s forgiveness and mercy, praising their Lord in all ramifications, it was sad news – having the semblance of a bombshell and dropping heavy in the heart of believers – that, of course, only the enemies of Allah and the hypocritse will be happy to hear. It really came to us in an unfortunate way that there were people ganging up in one of the most populous Muslims states in Nigeria, Kano, and plotting to destroy the heritage and labour of our forefathers, which Nigerians describes as the labour of our heroes past. They want to destroy what our forefathers fought to establish and maintain.

Dear brothers and sisters! Within two days, sycophantic lawmakers made a legislation of it, destroying what our forefathers fought to establish under the command of our leader, whom we desire to meet in Aljannah, on a day no governor will be able to use thugs to win any inconclusive election, talk less of having the guts to destroy a sacred institution and promote hatred among brothers.

Oh Allah forgive us for always accusing the Jews and some enemies from far for our problems, our calamities, our tribulations and our predicaments, forgetting that our greatest problems are those who drank from the pot of the Jews, people who call themselves Muslims but are bent on destroying the Muslim Ummah and their Islamic heritage, because of egoism and personal political interests.

Ya Allah, you have seen what your beloved servant Shehu Usman Ibn Fodio, his brothers and his students fought to establish is being destroyed by one who has forced himself into power. Ya Allah, we do not have strength to fight him, but you have. Ya Allah may he be alive to see the Ummah coming under one umbrella, under one Amir and one Qiblah.

Ya Allah raise the flag of LA ILAHA ILLALLAH above all tyranny. Ameen.

Perfect knowledge belongs to Allah the Almighty. Our last prayer is all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessing be upon our Prophet, his Family, his Companions and his Brothers till the Day of Resurrection.

We ask Allah the Most High to strengthen us in this Ramadan, we ask Him to accept our fasts, and reward us with His forgiveness and the highest place in Paradise. Ameen.
